Halloween and día de muertos

Happy Halloween🎃, dear readers!

Today, as we embrace the spooky and fun traditions of Halloween, we'd like to share a little piece of our cultural heritage. You see, we're proud to be Mexican, and alongside Halloween, we also celebrate "Día de Muertos"💀 - the Day of the Dead.

So lets celebrate both!!💀🎃💓

Día de Muertos is a vibrant and heartfelt Mexican holiday that honors and remembers our dearly departed loved ones. It's a time when we create colorful ofrendas (altars), light candles, and decorate sugar skulls to pay tribute to those who have left this world. It's a beautiful blend of tradition, love, and remembrance, and for 3 years I have had someone very special whom I honor and who is my number one on my altar. (In the next post I will try to put pictures of both celebrations)

So, as we put on our costumes and carve pumpkins

for Halloween, we also prepare to honor our ancestors and celebrate the cycle of life and death in a uniquely Mexican way. It's a special time for reflection, connection, and sharing stories of those we hold close to our hearts.
